Sif puts the collar on lorelei and right away it cuts to Ward aiming the gun at May and pulling the trigger. She had taken the bullets out so it’s fine, and then suddenly he’s out of Lorelei’s trance.
Viewing first time: maybe it takes a few seconds to come out of the trance, that was close lol
Viewing it now: THAT WAS SO SMART??? Firstly it’s fun on a rewatch, cause it becomes clear that he had just come out of the trance and was gonna shoot May anyway. But that’s such a good plan?? Like imagine if he had succeeded?? He would’ve taken out one of the main people who could stop him, and everyone would think he had no choice. He’d just pretend to be really sad for the rest of the time. Like he really saw the opportunity and said sure this works.
Daisy would say it wasn’t like herself to defy orders, but of course, that was a lie. What made tonight different wasn’t sneaking out after nightfall or going off on her own without the team’s knowledge. It was the nervous fluttering in her stomach for the reason. Usually if she was going to disobey Coulson or May, it was because she was making a hard call in the field to do what was right, and she knew she could justify it to them for the sake of the mission.
Tonight, this was pure curiosity. Well, that too was a lie. It was curiosity and lust. The odd, superpowered blonde woman—who had taken out the alien threat earlier today before her team even had a chance—knew something about the Kree. She wasn’t surprised to see one on Earth, and while Coulson and May chatted with her after the battle, her phone had been surprisingly easy to put a tracer on.
so often i see p&p being marketed on the merit of its canonization as a classic alone. so this was fun to see… like it’s just some random romance!! the description is so fun and silly. so basically it just actually reflects the real humor of austen’s writing.
With NASA announcing their streaming service NASA+ and also announcing it’s going to be free and also ad free, I’d just like to appreciate the lengths they go to make scientific knowledge and exploration as available as they possibly can.

If the background actors don’t come in for work because they exist virtually then the background costume and background hair and make up and their catering and transport and all the other departments that look after them get cut too. These things have knock on effects…
And personally? To be in the tickets booth, and see young girls, teenagers, adult women, coming in to see Barbie,
the most highlighter pink outfits, some of them coming in with the dolls they’re dressed as, laughing to each other, cheering for each other,
to see the men they’re coming to see it with, dressed in pink, cheering them on, taking their pictures with smiles and cheers in the lobby at the photo op

I can’t say any nuances of the movie that haven’t already been said, but like, fuck man, love is so deep and so kind and to be able to see glimpses of it from behind my little ticket desk makes me a little less nihilistic.
